Location: Peoria, Illinois | Just bought a Planet Waves strap for my 12-string. Difficult to get it on, but love the way it works. Are there any tricks to this that I do not know about? I have little experience with straps, but want to do some stand up playing. Any tips would be appreciated. |

Try holding marbles in your hand while you type... |

I've tried to ponder what type of "tips" we can offer, but anything beyond "fastening it to your guitar and adjusting it so that it's comfortable to the position(s) you play in" . . . I really can't think of anything to add . . .
I'm not trying to be a prick or anything, but it's kinda' like asking advice on how tight to tie your shoes. Go with what's comfortable and works for you. g'luck.
. . . . and try to work on that TypusInteruptus ;-) |

Location: closely held secret | Never mind, Jim. I tried it. It's really hard to type while you're holding your marbles.
I thought the strap was to hold my belly in so I could reach my guitar. |

Found it on that really weird stuff page on fleabay.
Use strap locks all the time. no matter how securly the strap seems to fit. |

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | I like the planet waves straps. Look at their website if you want tips on how to fasten it. As for how high, for me, it depends on what I'm playing. When I'm being bluegrass the guitar is high on my chest. If I'm rocking out, then it's low, like Johnny Ramone. I never seem to keep it in the middle though. You just have to experiment. |

| It is a fact thet the lower you hang the guitar the worse your guitar playing is. Ladies and Gentlemen I give you Jimmy Page. |
