Have you ever tried to buy an instrument from Al?

You will, undoubtedly, at some point, listen to Al as he ensures that you hear all the caveats, as well as, bells and whistles associated with your purchase.

If your lucky, at some point in your conversation Al's other line will ring and Al will smell a fresh credit card.

Thanks Al. Can't wait to find out what I bought.

Well, at least it appears we are taking the question seriously and answering honestly.

I listen to "Big Al". He's gigging at the country bear jamboree at disney world. Unfortunatley, his dreadnaught is not an ovation. He needs a 1537!!

Enjoying the site fella's!!!

I listen to Big Gay Al on South Park. I've been known to throw in some Al Green. I actually have a concert video of Weird Al Yankovic. So yeah, I'm no stranger to Al.

OK, Well this thing totally friggin backfired. In some other thread Al goes off big time blasting how he HATES POLLS. And he emphatically asks DOES ANYONE EVER LISTEN TO ME ???

So, I thought it would be REALLY FUNNY to start a poll asking if anyone listens to Al. Imagine me, just trying to have some fun ... BUT NO, YOU guys go off and take the darn thing seriously (FOR ONCE), and now I AM the only one so far that cast a NO vote in the poll. Am I too insightful for this board? I'll start a poll to find out. Dave

Actually, Standing O, I think it's time for you to start considering the possibility of a broad based conspiracy. When confronted with the spectre of you maybe having fun, we all went with the knee-jerk instictive 'Naahhhh!' response. In time, perhaps we'll all get in touch with our sensitive natures and react with more consideration, but I'm not getting a sense of anytime soon.

Poll on!

I have yet to meet the Al but soon in June I will meet him, but from what I have seen here is that Al is well respected and liked even loved by a Lama or two, these kind of things don't happen by chance.
I'm listening

I don't think you're supposed to tell people about the llama loving.

Also, there is a world of difference between a 'one el lama' and a 'two el llama.' Used to be a song about it...or maybe you knew that and you know more about Al than the rest of us.

:D

StandingOvation, you're not the only one who voted no just to be ornery. 70% Yes rate? What's this world coming to? Aren't there a bunch of guys on the board who grew up in the 60's when civil disobedience was the rage?

Al,
I happen to know, a significant number of folks who voted "yes", did so just to prevent getting screwed via the backdoor by an administrator.

(I, however, am not one of them. )

No need to apologize. Suck up to Al all you want. I don't have to start sucking up until after two conditions are met:

a) he gets some kind of decent semi-hollow body in stock
b) I have all the parts to build my amp in house and the receipts burned in the fireplace (yes, I've ordered parts!)

:D

Baldrick,
Don't you have a cunning plan you could be workin out elsewhere?

....and there's no such instrument as bogos, not that I could find anyway.
