I went out and bought this amp from music123.com:

Edition Blue 30-R

Some of our European OFC members may be more familiar with these, I hadn't heard of them before I looked on-line and priced some amps in the 30 to 100 watt range (100 is more than I need and can afford!)

First time I've bought an amp without actually plugging it in. And this is only the fourth guitar amp I've ever purchased...

I plan on using it in our band, we have a mostly "acoustic" feel and sound, but mix in some electric guitars every now and then. I needed some more punch on a couple of songs so I shopped around and bought this one. I was using a little "Tokai" practice amp I bought years ago.

Used the "Edition Blue" tonight in band rehearsal and it seemed to be just what I was looking for. It's straight forward and has a nice clean channel and a nice crunchy channel. It's also lighweight (20#), which gets a thumbs up from me. And.... I couldn't resist the backlit control panel! The price was very reasonable too.

music123.com failed to send the foot switch that was part of the package, supposed to be on it's way now.

Playing my Hamer Custom B/W graphic through it.

Nice amp Paul.

How about a good follow up review after you have broken it in over a few weeks?

H&K is great gear - their tube preamps and effects are awesome but cost a lot. Their PA packages are superb - way better than any acoustic amp I ever heard. I'm seriously thinking about getting one.
That is a great little amp - have fun.

H K is killer stuff
I have an HK audio systems Lucas system PA which made me sell my bose 800's to miles.

their pedals and amps are top notch but usually expensive. Hey you get what you pay for.

I believe Akai distributes them in the US
