Hey ALL,

Couldn't find the original thread, so I had to start a new one. Just wanted to thank the OFC members for tipping me off about this CD. I have always enjoyed the sound of Chet Atkins (and Merle Travis) and am looking forward to receiving this CD. They are available on Ebay. Thanks Again!!

Funny-I just dug my Finger Pickers CD out this morning and brought it work work to listen to. One of my all time favorites. GREAT work! Love to have a Chet Atkins "fingers transplant"!

AFG,

I never thought of a finger transplant. My guitar teacher tells me that "your not trying to train your fingers, but actually training your brain get your fingers to do what they are supposed to do. Maybe in addition to the fingers, we better order the brain transplant too!! As I get older, this may not be a bad idea.

Keep pickin'

". . training your brain get your fingers to do what they are supposed to do . ."

Very true.
After y'do it long enough, it becomes "2ndNature" and you do it without even "thinking" about what you're doing . . .

It's like driving "stick".

Hasn't your doctor warned you about the damage that can cause? :o
