Location: Upper Left USA | I saw several posts about the wonders of Drop-D and alternate tunings this morning and thought I'd throw out a bisquit. there is a "Short Cut Capo" or Cut-Capo put out by Kyser that will capo up three strings at a time (on most necks) which makes for a very full sound and re-phrasing.
If you like alternate tunings but hate to tune this is an entry level tool to get you started. Most of the chords remain familiar and with a little intro you will be sounding great soon!

Location: Scotland | The Kyser Short cut & Shubb Partial are designed to cover strings 2, 3 & 4 giving a virtual open A tuning, or strings 3, 4 & 5 producing E suspended (effectively DADGAD up a tone) My particular favourite is the Third Hand Capo, which does everything the Kyser & Shubb can do plus a lot more. I sell loads of the 3rd hand in the UK. I also sell the unique G-band single and 2 string capos. I occasionaly work as product demonstrator for G-band at trade shows.
Things can get real interesting if you combine a Partial with a G-band. During my demoes for G-band I do one piece that involves a Shubb partial, a regular capo and a G-band simultaneously
