Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | Just read on the adamas website that the walnut fretboards that apparently come on all adamas are impregnated with resin. Now, I know that's a typo because my W597-MEWP has an ebony fretboard and most of the other current production models I've seen are ebony. What I was wondering was: Are the ebony fretboards impregnated with resin or are they native. I'm guessing that they are simply lightly coated with mineral oil, or some deriviative thereof. Any info, much appreciated |

the tops are made with either poplar or birch ... not just birch

It would have saved time! |

But then again I noticed that the picture of the MEWP-II in the timeline is upside down. Oh boy, I know they hate me now, but I really do love the Adamas guitar. |

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | Since it looks like they read this, then I'd like to recommend (not that anyone would pay attention to what I say) that as a requirement for the people who write the content for the website they be required to play guitar and that they be given either as a loan, at cost or as payment, an adamas guitar so they know what they are writing about. Then they would know what the guitar is made out of, scale length, that some of the pictures are upside down, that they should have a sound sample etc ... Anyway, the website is a step in the right direction and should evolve nicely. |

But somebody besides us needs to be proof reading this stuff. |

So why don't they just make the first 3 frets out of tougher materials? |
