Depends on which northeast 'burb. :) I've been known to make it from here to the corner of Woodward and Warren in under two hours.

HOLY COW, cruster, that is HAULING from Midland.....

I'm in the far western suburbs, a long hour away.

Even though I live near Detroit, I think the real home of rock and roll is MEMPHIS.......just my opinion. Bob Seger has his, he expressed it on "Live Bullet".

Well, that particular day I was only keeping up with traffic which seemed to be of the mind that 100MPH between Joslyn and Big Beaver was 'reasonable and prudent.' Wish they would've kept it up all the way down to 14 Mile, but alas, it wasn't meant to last. :) Then there was the day Sally went into labor and I was in Grossy Pointy.

Actually, it was only 127.7 miles from my driveway to the old Macabbee's Building (well, the underground lot, anyway). Depending on when I hit the metro area, I could make pretty good time...or really bad time. Not a lot of traffic out there around 9:30a, so you could just keep doing 80 almost all the way down to 94. During the morning rush, though, the average was way down.

But, I'll bet you already knew that. ;)

100 MPH IS a prudent speed (not in a Rover pulling a U-Haul full of guitars though!)

I'm thinking you may not have driven in the mess that passes for traffic on the highways in and around Metro Detroit during 'rush hour.' ;)
