Question for the history buffs out there.
I have an Adamas 2 12 string 1685-8. I was never able to exactly remember the year I got it but the serial number 1324 suggests it was built in 1980. The Adamas timeline says they released the Adamas 2 in '82. Am I wrong or was mine one of the very 1st to be released? It certainly seems to have been built way before the release date.
By the way. The guitar is simply wonderful - my pride and joy! |

PS - Welcome to the club. |

Location: UK | Many thanks for the response, I think you are right.
I was very lucky that my folks saved extremely hard and bought me my guitar after seeing Brian May from Queen play an Ovation 12 string live here in the UK. That concert I think was in '82 which kinda fits in with the timeine. Other than that i suppose it could have genuinely been built before but wasnt released till 82.
Totally agree with your website by the way. Ive never played a better sounding or easier to play 12 string and doubt I ever will.
If I can find out how to post pictures, i'll put em up.
cheers |

| You don't have to be ashamed about being from the Uk. Add it to your profile. You are not alone and someone's got to teach these people how to spell. |

| My wife and daughter are deeply impressed that I know the Mayor of Nike Texas. My standing in this family has gone up by several miles. I am forever in your debt.
However, quit with the attitude, it's OUR language. ;)
What's the difference between a Texas Longhorn and Simply Red?
A Texas Longhorn has the horns at the front and the as%%%%%le at the back. |

Well, that and Guinness.
And Bombay Sapphire.
And the Cooper Mini (the real ones, not those new ones).
And the Triumph TR6 (in red, not that BRG crap)
Hrmm...guess there's more than I thought.

| I think the Irish might have been involved with Guinness. I have partaken of the noble fluid myself this evening. See - we speak the language.
On the other hand, we did send you Herman's Hermits, the Rover Sterling and The Duchess of Pork.
Maybe we're quits. :) |

| All Triumphs were totally sh*t cars - I spent the first 20 years of my life living a coup;e miles from the factory. Even the people who worked there knew how crap they were. The local slogan was "Buy a Triumph and walk to work." |

| They've never sold chevys over here. When I lived in California in the 70s I had the loan of an AMC something or other (an early "compact") and that was a piece of...... |

| Although PT Cruisers are extremely common around here. This is the upside of Merc buying Chrysler - there's a dealership network second to none. |

| Hillary has a brain - this makes her WAY more dangerous.
I've always really fancied HC, but given the politics around here it probably wouldn't be wise to mention it. So I won't. |
