Location: Warwick, RI | If you had told me a year ago that I would own one of those bird-wing looking cut-away drilled top guitars, I would have said not.
I always preferred conventional gits along the lines of a J-45 or D-18, but playing an Elite, then another, yet another, they consistently sound exactly like I want a guitar to sound. It may not be to everyone's taste, but I really like the punchy compressed sound that Rubber Soul and Exile on Main Street give out, and that's the sound I hear on my Elite. What's more, I have come around to the look and don't know what took me so long. Slow, I guess.
This is not saying anything new, but I'm struck with how much guitar you get today with an O. Not to bash other brands, but I haven't heard a boutique that I would trade for.
God help me if my house catches fire, once I get the wife and cats out, I'm going back in for the LX.--Ron | |
