Location: Canton (Detroit), MI | Easy. Remove your strings, get a small flathead screwdriver and GENTLY ease the bridge up out of its slot, you will see them underneath. Decide which one to remove, replace the one(s) you are leaving in, put the bridge back on top, getting it all the way down, and restring the guitar.
I've done this on three of my guitars and have ended up replacing them, it took too much out of the sound. Also, on my ME 12-string, it caused a fret buzz.

Location: Tennessee | For those of us that lack subtle manual dexterity, I always found it easier to reach inside and gently push on the pins that seat the assembly onto the bridge. I've witnessed both exposed crystals and busted pins by folks with slightly aggressive screwdriver technique. The rest of OAO's instructions are right on. |

Location: NJ | I heartily agree with the StoneBob on that one.
Best to reach inside, find the wire that leads to the pick-up and GENTLY push it up a little. That gets things "going", and you can then start on gently pushing up on the pins, and THEN wield the potential weapon . . . |
