OK, sold the Adamas. Got the new toy. I picked this up from Mike Stevens. He had brought it to the Texas OFC. I love the sound (pretty much all Ovations). It is a new 2005 Custom Elite LX in the New England Burst.

Funny, Ovation doesn't list NEB as a color choice on the C778LX, only Black Cherry Burst. Any ideas on that one?

If Ovation was reaching for magnificent beauty in design, engineering, structure and sound, their goal has been achieved in your new guitar. Congratulations on a superb replacement for your Adamas, well done.

I like a dressed up guitar.
To go from an Adamas to an LX says alot about the LX.

Hey Waskel - that abalone binding on ttenn's C778 is something, isn't it ... G.A.S.!!

Now I've got to go and confess to my 6778LX-NEB that I have lusted ... before she quits letting me play her!

Nice! I agree with xnoel about coming to Keller to check it out!!

I was on FW Guitar Center Wednesday. I think they have the same model (was high on the wall and I didn't get it down...)

Enjoy!

I've just had another look at the picture - it's beyond drop-dead gorgeous. It's Penelope Cruz with strings.

. . . and about as much talent.

At last year's Tour, I was looking at a bunch of these bodies fresh from the spray booth in the drying racks . . . . just gorgeous!!

Lovely!

When they start producing the 12 strings I will have to spend some money!

I don't like it. Too flashy, the pearloid tuners look cheap and the gold hardware probably makes your fingers go green.

Man, jealosy is such an ugly thing....

I wished that was an option in 04' when I bought my 6778 LX in NEB finish. Still love mine. That is one nice guitar however!

"O" "O" "O" it's magic!

Thanks for all the praises. I saw the 1778LX in Black Cherry Burst and the 6778LX in the NEB at GC. I didn't really like them there. The spotlights they had in the acoustic room made them look too orange.

But under normal lighting, especially with the Abalone trim, it looks amazing. Yes, it is prettier in person.

Sounds great too.

tten: It is an EXCELLENT guitar. I enjoyed playing it. I am glad you were able to swing it.
