This may be one of the most beautiful guitars I've ever seen. I'm thinking of selling my Glen Campbell Deluxe Balladeer to afford it.

Paul Wag lives in Ft. Worth, I'm sure he would be glad to facilitate the deal for you. As far as that goes, I only live 2 hours from there, send me your guitar and I will handle the deal.

It's astonishing...not only did someone think that finish was a good idea and put it on the guitar, but then someone actually saw it in a store and liked it enough to buy it! What kind of twisted people are they??

Mike, I thought I was gonna have to let loose with one my "why so much preaching on the OFC board" rants again, but then I realized your quote was not from the bible at all. It's the Green Lantern. THAT changes everything. ;)

You mean somebody bought a perfectly reasonable looking 0026 and then intentionally screwed it up like that?

RE: "I looked it up and the advertised color is actually: Reverse Barf Burst"

Does that mean that there is a "Full Barf Burst" out there as well?

It does have that Lava-Lamp sort of ambiance about it. Sit back and relax playing it on your purple felt couch in your orange shag carpeted Living Room.

When I first came in this morning, I got the e-mail/pic and said "Why in the hell is he sending me THIS??". At first, I thought that you had it ForSale and thought I might be intereseted in it.

In the midst of removing you from my e-mail list, I remembered this thread . . .

That color scheme is reminiscent of waking up in a bar room toilet stall that day after St'Patrick'sDay . . .

. . . so I've been told, anyway . .

Moody, you should know by now that every thread on the OFC has a life of it's own. You can post something with the best of intentions and it will just grow legs and walk (sometimes run) off on all of us.

I blame cliff and Woody. And Schroeder, even though he's behind on quantity of posts (he makes it up in quality). ;)

I used to have an apartment with a lime green shag carpet. Maybe this POS looking thing would have looked okay there. Of course in those days, I was often too smashed to recognize colors.

There's an ad on tv right now for some guy who's trying to sell his ugly green hatchback car on an online service. The wife asks who's gonna wannna buy that car and the scene changes to some guy in a green apartment with green clothes and hat, who's thrilled to death to find the green car.

There are instances where bright, bold, garish, "smack yo in the f*&%&g face" colors . . "work". I deal with it all the time . . .

Anybody been to an H&R Block this year??

Had this guitar been a bright, bold green (or whatever color), I might be able to deal with it.
But, "Watered-down PeaSoupBurst" just doesn't do it.

btw: The "hot" color for next year will be a dark, "coffee" brown . . . .

I have nothing to add beyond the observation that proper coffee doesn't appear brown at all. And it's certainly not polluted with cream (or cream substitutes, cream alikes or other dairy nasties) or sugar (or sugar substitutes, sugar alikes, etc.).
