I just got word from Rick Hall that Ovation is going to put out a DVD for their 40th anniv. Part of what is to be included in this DVD are testimonials, by players, owners and fans.
Rick has arranged for the film crew to be on site for the entire day on June 17th. It would be really cool to have some of our own interviewed and included in this DVD.
So this gives you ample time to prepare a statement that may be filmed and used in the final product. |

Besides, I wanted to see Al's ne w Collection of Mauve Shirts. I think he had a different one for each day last year. At any rate the DVDproject is a great idea. |

I'm bouncing off the walls here. It's absolutely PATHETIC how excited I am. It's still got 3000 miles and 2 Postal Services to go before I have to trek off and pay the taxes. In a man of my age it's pitiable. Or fantastic, depending how you look at it.
The worst bit is that it's nearly midnight here - SWMBO just mentioned (as they do) that she would have preferred al to hang on until tomorrow morning as she would like to get some sleep tonight. Tough. |

Which leads us to a good question, If a movie of your life were made, who would you want to play you?
I'm going with Hilary Swank. |

Problem is...they used models. No actual employees were used.
Tyra Banks has offered to speak in favor of the Adamas and Marky Mark is going to strip back down to his skivvies for the Ovation interview to rave about the new LX line. |

I have invited you PERSONALLY several times to take the factory tour. You more than anyone aside from a troll that keeps poping up here would probably benefit the most from touring the factory and watching the guitars being made.
So please make the visit If you are able. |

And all that...

Location: Fayetteville, NC | Cliff, some of the attendees last year lived within driving distance so they didn't stay at the hotel. Atttendance may pick up yet. I looked into driving up myself, but it doesn't look like things are working out financially for me to make it this year. So that's one less participant in the Llama rodeo this year. :( |

Location: SoCal | All kidding aside, this is a special trip. Last year, on Thursday evening, there was a huge jam session in the lobby of the hotel that went on until all hours.
The next day was a full day with a tour of the factory a Q&A session, and a giveaway of a Legend LX. That evening, there was dinner provided and a complete sound system set up so that everybody who wanted to play and perform could.
This gig is well worth attending.
And watching Clifford massage the llama was really something... |

I look forward to meeting as many OFC members as I can. But it makes sense that if someone went last year, they might be less likely to attend two years in a row. |

Lower your weapon and re-engage the safety.
If Miles bids on the Breadwinner electronics or that Preacher project - shoot him in the leg please.
Bless his heart. |
