Hi all,

Do any of you Worship leaders/players have any songs you are playing that make you feel like you are dancing with Jesus?

I have been playing "Wonderful Maker" by Chris Tomlin for awhile now, that makes me feel like this.

I have recently begun, but not finished, learning "When the Tears Fall" by Tim Hughes that also gives me this feeling. I heard this song on the Newboys Devotion CD.

Hey Mark,
Chris Tomlin has some great stuff! Our Cafe' Band gets to play this newer venue of material. Mark Redman has put out a lot of excellent material too. This Sundays selection is:

Lonely People - version 2
Meet with You - Hiebert (performed by M. Gungor)
I Need You - Jars of Clay
I give You My Heart - Hillsongs AU
Offering - Third Day

Email me and I can send you the Cheat Sheets in Word.

And yes we do support our CCLI registry!

www.pwarchive.com
www.iwillworship.com
www.worshiptogether.com

Are some of my frequent stops for materials.

Why? Even Elvis loved gospel music. His only Grammy was for a gospel album.

I like "Shout To The Lord". :)

Glen Campbell did some gospel albums about 10-12 years ago. There's one tune he did called Jesus & Me, that I'm going to do in church pretty soon. Very challenging vocally, but it describes me pretty well.

Hey, just because I have different beliefs doesn't mean I can't like the music. My daughter is the bass player in the "Hot Church" band and before she left for college I would go to service almost every week to watch her play. On occasion they would even let an old satan lover like me join the band. I played and sang "Forever Young" solo last year on Fathers Day. Had half the audience in tears. See, it's all cool and believers and non-believers can usually get along just fine. The song by DC Talk is pretty cool. Check it out. You can hear the clip on Amazon. Dave

I think that with Dave admiting that he sang in public, we know why the congregation cried. The truth hurts (or at least Dave's voice hurts -- maybe one and the same).

Hey Dave, when did you stop going to the wican gatherings?

Man, I KNEW that would be mis-interpreted. I can't win (but I sure can whine).

Btw, "I Dare You To Move" is also a good one. And they didn't even cry!

It's a shame how the majority of the younger generation are really clueless to some of the great artists of the past.

My kids (and probably most OFC'ers kids)have a better knowledge of older music because of their parents love for it. My kids would at least know the names of most of the artists we speak of but the majority of their friends just look at you with a dumb expression on their faces.

How about:
Let Us Pray - Steven Curtis Chapman
Stir Up A Hunger - Paul Baloche (the whole "God Of Wonders" album on Hosanna is great!)
It Is You - Newsboys
Blessed Be Your Name - Matt Redman (a lot of his stuff is great)
Because We Believe - The first Integrity songwriter's acoustic album has great guitar songs, and you can get this CD for, I think, $1.99 or $2.99 at Christianbook.com (CBD)

Not much of a dance tune, but I sure like to sing along with it!

If your church is one of the liberal kind you could do this song.

I sent it to my Leadership titled "Music for next Sunday".

I don't expect to see it on the bulletin.

All of those are great songs. In my opinion "old songs" are songs that were written before I was born. Everything from 1959 through today are new.

One day we'll be singing a new song and then we can call all of the ones we know while we're here "old".

Revelation 5:8-10
