Found this link. Interestingly, when I checked Jet Blue, they seem to prohibit anything approaching the dimensions of a guitar, but I never had a problem and when you speak to them they actually encouraged me to bring the guitar on the plane. On the otherhand, when I spoke to contenental airlines, (when going overseas) told me no guitars, but their policy seems to allow at least an electric in a gigbag. Go figure.

I've flown in and out of San Antonio since 9-11 and haven't had a problem carrying a guitar on. If you get seating in Group 1, you don't have a problem with overhead bins. I have found that American and Northwest are the best as far as allowing me to put it in the overhead.
