The rest of the world is starting to appreciate the bargain that Ovation products have been.
But now they are buying them, dammit and the price is going up.
I couldn't be there for the last hour of an eBay auction for a set of Deacon Pups and such. I thought $100 was decent and I bid at $175 thinking no way it would go that high. I get home and I am highly dissapointed.
For every up market there will be downtrodden. :( |

Location: Upper Left USA | I have no interest in vearing off the Ovation assembly line just yet. There are too many flavors to taste. If I found that I liked Fenderers that would open up a huge market for my obsessive tendancies.
Better to dabble in these obscure discontinued lines of self indulgense. |

That's what the biggest majority of electrics on eBay are, Fenderers. That exactly why I wouldn't buy one. Maybe if I was given one (fat chance) I would try it, but probably wouldn't keep it. I'd trade it for another Deacon or Breadwinner. :D JMO |

I don't blame you, but I figured it was worth a shot...
Let me know if it doesn't sell, and I'll subtley start leaving pictures of it around the house... |

Then, like a bad odor on a windy day, the phantom guitar trader vanishes... I believe that was the Hamer fan that popped in to sell us his mandolin and then disappeared after we tried to buy it! |

I hoped to scoup you on Waskel's request about the Deacon, but you did not list it in the list you sent me. |

This will be an opportunity for someone to grab one of my usually overpriced guitars for a good price |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | I hate to ruin this thread, but I watched a TV program on ABBA and I swear I saw a Breadwinner or something like it played by the Swedes who sold millions of dance records. I confess I liked some of their songs, "Chiquitita" comes to mind and some others that I can't remember the name of. |

Location: Latitude 39.56819, Longitude -105.080066 | If you like ABBA you should try to see the musical MAMA MIA....it is a play written by the two guys from ABBA telling a story based on alot of their songs.
I saw it in New York on Broadway last year and it was stunning! I could have easily gone and enjoyed it every night we were there (and I don't really like musicals). |

The only reason I know those lines is that they were burned into my nueral net from incessent air play in the 70 as my 8 year old brain was still developing. |

I'm saying nothing...
Abba songs are taught at the Royal Collage Of Music on the composition course because they are so clever. Try and improvise around one one day. |

I don't care if Ludwig Van, himself, pours over the structure of ABBA songs between his bianual coiff and dinner with Haydn...
No snow white, smorgrasbord swilling, singing swedes have the right to use the word "jive" in daily conversation, let alone song lyrics. |

| I'll describe Belgium elsewhere in private - but the gigs were fantastic. Having the family along was not such a great idea. Now I know why I've never done it before.
I'm not a fan of the Swedish Royal Family myself - but there again I've never understood what was so great about the Beatles or the Beach Boys. What do I know? |

If you decide you don't want it (and no other OFC member wants it), THEN I will post to ebay. |
