Folks receiving the DVD may find that the disc doesn't automatically play when inserted in your computer.

I am a Mac user and found this to be a way to get it to play:

Put the dvd in your computer.

Open your DVD player app
.
Go to “File”

Select- Open “Video_TS”

Choose the "Video_TS" file fron the OFC DVD folder when the window pops up.

Then select “Play” from the Menu bar in DVD application —not the on screen controller.

That should get it open in the DVD player.

The DVD is formatted for use on both Windows and Mac.

If there are any well versed PC types who understand this process, maybe you could post the PC version of this method

Yep, on a PC, we insert the disc and let it play! :D
At the worse case, we push play!

Cause you own a MAC....10 steps on the MAC equals 1-2 steps on the PC.

I got it playing on the TV but with a roll...probably PAL format. I am going to run it through a convertor.

Don't worry TRBOY, by the time I send you the copy it will work on the big screen and your dvd player!

It should go on record that if it wasn't for Bongo Boy's IT Support above I would still be sitting here staring at a blank screen.

I don't expect to say anything else nice about him this year.

Having some problems getting the flicker out of the video when it runs on the dvd player. Not giving up yet but I don't want to hold up anyone DVD's either.

What's the thought process here....do you guys want a disc that only plays on the computer or do you want me to work on it for another 2-3 days?

Stephen, I'm working on it too. Ripping the video to MPG and converting to NTSC, then I'll re-author the disk. I'll let you know if it shows any improvement.

Ditto!!Keep working on it. Since i don't have a computer at the house. I'd rather watch it on my DVD player at home. but if it only runs on the computer i'll just stay late and watch it after hours at the office.

Maybe between the two of us we can get this done.

Which prog are you using for the conversion?

No, I'm using MainConcept mpeg encoder to rip the VOB's to 29.97 fps mpegs. Then I'll use DVD Architect to re-author it. There may still be a little jumpiness in it, I don't think I've ever been able to convert frame rates without a little.
Doing it on my laptop while at work, I should be able to test it tonight. Doesn't help that the original video is 352 x 576. Bumping that up to 720 x 480 while ripping. Got my finners crossed!

Maybe I'm too late on this, but the DVD author has told me the problem is the PAL format.

Aparently he uses Nero to convert formats and it's easy.

....am I stating the bleeding obvious.........

uhnnn. I think Nero Vision does that. I don't have it.
Still, it's basically the same process. Extract, convert, re-author.

Hey Jeff, mine arrived, thanks!

It wouldn't play at all but I used DVD Shrink to extract and re-burn and that copy works fine.

Ok, got a decent working copy in NTSC format, no rolling, balanced out the audio a bit. Sorry, couldn't do much to improve the video quality - VHS is VHS. Still, very watchable. Too bad their tape ran out during the first part.
I'll get it sent off to Jeff for redistribution.

Better, just send it.

I will try to make a quick appearence. I'm working in New York at that time and I don't yet know if I will be able sneak away to short sheet Cliff's bed, celophane wrap Dave's toilet, and dress you up like Marvin the Martian while you sleep.

The important part of a disguise is, well, not tellin people, how you're disguised.

Now all I gotta do to find you, is look under Cliff.
