I am a Mac user and found this to be a way to get it to play:
Put the dvd in your computer.
Open your DVD player app
.
Go to “File”
Select- Open “Video_TS”
Choose the "Video_TS" file fron the OFC DVD folder when the window pops up.
Then select “Play” from the Menu bar in DVD application —not the on screen controller.
That should get it open in the DVD player.
The DVD is formatted for use on both Windows and Mac.
If there are any well versed PC types who understand this process, maybe you could post the PC version of this method |

At the worse case, we push play! |

| It should go on record that if it wasn't for Bongo Boy's IT Support above I would still be sitting here staring at a blank screen.
I don't expect to say anything else nice about him this year. |

What's the thought process here....do you guys want a disc that only plays on the computer or do you want me to work on it for another 2-3 days? |

Which prog are you using for the conversion? |

Location: closely held secret | No, I'm using MainConcept mpeg encoder to rip the VOB's to 29.97 fps mpegs. Then I'll use DVD Architect to re-author it. There may still be a little jumpiness in it, I don't think I've ever been able to convert frame rates without a little.
Doing it on my laptop while at work, I should be able to test it tonight. Doesn't help that the original video is 352 x 576. Bumping that up to 720 x 480 while ripping. Got my finners crossed! |

I think you are taking it one step further than what I was trying to do by enlarging the pictures.
Awesome if successful. Keep me posted |

Aparently he uses Nero to convert formats and it's easy.

Still, it's basically the same process. Extract, convert, re-author. |

It wouldn't play at all but I used DVD Shrink to extract and re-burn and that copy works fine.

Location: closely held secret | Ok, got a decent working copy in NTSC format, no rolling, balanced out the audio a bit. Sorry, couldn't do much to improve the video quality - VHS is VHS. Still, very watchable. Too bad their tape ran out during the first part.
I'll get it sent off to Jeff for redistribution. |

I will try to make a quick appearence. I'm working in New York at that time and I don't yet know if I will be able sneak away to short sheet Cliff's bed, celophane wrap Dave's toilet, and dress you up like Marvin the Martian while you sleep. |

The important part of a disguise is, well, not tellin people, how you're disguised.
Now all I gotta do to find you, is look under Cliff. |
