Location: south east Michigan | If you told me 18 months ago that I would have a "collection" of Ovations I would have said you were crazy. Well...that was then, this is now.
I know that we all probably have that one dream guitar, but what are you missing?
I admire Alaskan Fly Guy's collection for it's representation of the Ovation line.
Myself....I am missing an multi-hole style Ovation. I don't know if it will be an Adamas or an Elite model but that's the next thing on the wish/want/need list.
Then that will be it.
Really.
I mean it.
I will be done.
Kinda. |

Anticipation of Projects and future O models is a good thing.
I still hunger for the deep and obscure. A Mandocello and a Longneck will show up someday! |

Some sort of resonator (pref full Steel).
all on hold for the minute, though, as I continue to try and sell my apartment for a house. Guitar family got too big, and I ran out of room! D'oh.

Me I go for the more "different" looking guitars. Not necessarily expensive, say under $1,000. :D Maybe not low production, but it has to be "different". :D
The strangest guitar in my collection is a NOS Kramer Gorky Park. Have the guitar, and working on the original case. :D
Guess I'm a dabbler, as my collection is very eclectic, but I do have the Ovation Deacon, which is another one of my "different" guitars. :D |

Location: Boise, Idaho | An Adamas of any sort, since I don't have any, a Tornado, since I've always been partial to 335 knockoffs, a 1537. I am still pissed that I didn't get one of the 3 piece early shiney bowl Balladeers on ebay. Partially for its historical significance, but mostly because it went for $52 or some ridiculous amount. I have 5 more walls in my basement to fill, so I'm open to a lot of suggestions. Other than that, I need lots more time to practice. |

I think your collection's doing mighty fine too, Paul!
I'm pretty content at the moment with what I have but in keeping with the GC theme I've got going on, there are a couple of pieces that would round out things nicely.
They would be one of the first shiny bowl GC 12-strings with inlaid initials to match the GCDB, slothead #27, and, what the hell, the first 1537 Elite.
Not likely to happen but it dosen't cost anything to wish!

Nope. Back when I asked about the nutmeg one, it was twice what I had ever paid for a guitar...wow, guess I got over that "sticker shock."
You sold me your T-Head.
Have the Typhoon, Tornado, and T-Head.
Anyone want to trade a 1658 for a Hurricane? |

For some time it was a 1688 - 7 to go with my 1687 - 8. I still like that idea but I'm also considering the OFC or the #47 Adamas.
The Traditional Series Legend in natural also appeals to me and I'll probably get one of those regardless of my Adamas deliberations. |
