Hi
I am a person who generally doesn't know what's going around around me, and I like it that way.

But I have recently noticed something that apparently has been going on for some time, and would like an update.

My two favorite models of guitar (Country Artist and the Folklore) are often advertised and classified with a "slash" between them, suggesting that they are almost the same guitar, differing only in details, such as bridge and strings.

http://www.musicalinstruments.com/Categories.asp?Category=Guitars&F...

The above site is an example.

So, what's going on out there - has Ovation combined the models ? I can't see how they could get around the bracing issue if they combine steel and nylon models....

Thanks in advance for your time

I am old-school on this subject, when they were 2 different guitars; the country artist was nylon string only and the folklore was steel string...i still have an original 1624, and i could string it with savarez 520P's and it played great; i had an old friend who had an origial folklore, and it was a whole different ball game...

they are different guitars. They have different bracing, bridges, and fretboard radius

Jeff W. is right. They are different guitars. I wish I had one of each.
