Thanks Bill, i just recieved #18 and it has the most gordious bearclaw i have ever seen.I am just stunned at the 3D depth to this top.The guitar is mint and belonged to a former Ovation employee who is now a prominant Martin clinitian and was best of friends with Jim Rickard.He hand picked it for sound over several others at the factory at the time..This one is SWEEET!!! The C-Series always seemed to start around #50 and we'd add in the other lower numbers later. There was always a #4 for Sammy Ash. These bear claw started maybe around #5 or 10 and went to 25-30. They were made all in one group and around August/September of that year.
