Well after making all those threats...

It has arrived on a late run by UPS....

Thankfullly, it arrived unharmed!!!!..and looks to be in perfect unplayed condition.

It is very understated and yu knows, real classy looking.

Seriously, its beautiful.

I will know in about 1.5 hours if I share that Whine-for-results mojo of yours!
Congrats!

I will settle for a simple Hefewiesen, squeeze of lemon.

"Whine-for-results mojo of yours!"

I think it was more in the way of "Threats-for-results."

The guy was obviously impressed by the amount of expertise in the choice of weapons available here. Just like guitars, everybody had their own personal favourite. Wood/aluminum, golf club/baseball bat/electric drill. Cliff even introduced the aesthetics of sound into the whole thing. I was deeply impressed. This is the board to come to for advice when you need it.

Woody,
if you need it, I have devised a wonderful torture method involving sour milk and a wire dog brush...oh and we could use that squeeze of lemon too...

It's yours if you want.

Good Luck, Bro.

This is what happens when you combine the power of Al Gore's internet, Al Pep's OFC and Al Bundy's way of viewing life!

No box on my doorstep.

I'll settle for Ted Bundy. He was from around here anyway.

Just pisses you off, don't it?

and amazing that it arrived unharmed wrapped in bubble wrap and a single ply box. Man, that would have gotten to me in multiple pieces!

Jeff, you are ONE LUCKY DUDE

No case? I'd be happy to have the guitar. Those are great instruments.

Paul, I'd certainly be happy to have the guitar, too!!!! But what happened to the case????? Every Ovation USA guitar is shipped with a case! Did the seller decide to "enhance" his profit margin by keeping the case and selling it separately? That would stink.....

Hey guys,

Report is goona have to wait, till Friday. The guitar arrived and then I had to bug out on a short business trip, so it is sitting at my home, while I am 100 miles away. I had little time to do anything but tune it, and give a close inspection.

The fact that there was no case was a bit of a surprise. When I felt the wieght of the box, my heart sank...I could tell there wasn't even some Pizza box padding in there. When I went back to read the description for the millionth time, he did, in fact, NOT claim it would come with a case. Can't assume anything....I will work on getting a case for it, but it will be spending time in the stand anyway.

Bet Al can fix you up. I hear he has all sorts of stuff hidden away, just waiting for the day one of us has a need for it!

You might check out the TKL semi rigid cases with the Ovation Logo. I think our pal Al is looking into these and for a while there were some up on fleabay. I got one and, while not proof against WMD, I think it provides siginificant protection and they are superlight. YMMV

Roger,
I just bought a case from Al. When I went on to the Ovation Guitar site to make sure I was getting the right case, it said 9158-0...

which seems to be for both, mid and deep bowl models. I'm hoping the one i bought will work...
