| One of my favorites is Strings and Beyond , although there are others. Good prices, very fast shipment, and they alert you to regular specials and coupons. |

I'll throw a third one in there. I've recently started buying mine from Elderly. They are only about a half hour from me but just don't seem to go that way on a regular basis so I started ordering online. Good thing cause I can spend a whole day at that place & seem to buy more stuff than I need when I go there.
After looking at there prices & comparing to other places they are actually less than alot of other places & offer discounts when you buy more than one. Sometimes I even get my order the next day.
Considering we have the worst economy in the nation, why not keep our money here when possible.

Yea, I have to make a trip to Elderly. I am just outside of Det. and can't believe I have not been there. Maybe it is fear :) . My bros in law do a lot of shoppping there.
Thanks all for the tips. I may try juststrings as they have the ones I want to try or call Elderly and support the local store. |

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I look for sales on eBay and buy them by the dozen. About two years ago, I took inventory and discovered I had maybe 50 sets, which is stupid because if they're not completely sealed, degradation in quality can occur over time. Also, if you keep buying guitars and attending OFC events, you'll probably receive a few complimentary sets. Free strings are always best. |

| Just in case anybody in England/UK/Ireland is interested - the guys at stringbusters are great. They go the extra mile to keep even string whores like me happy. They'll raid packets for obscure single strings, special order stuff from manufacturers and offer some really good biased advice - like "I love these", "I think they suck", "don't buy those they are overpriced, these are the same strings without the endorsers name on" and so on. And they keep a huge range in stock. Good guys.

Location: Sunshine State, Australia | I bought a lot of Elixirs from Strings and Beyond. (Shipped to a US address, though) When I bought them in August, they were US$11.95 a set, now they're $13.95 a set. BUT... they have a 'buy 5, get 6' offer at the moment!
And if you buy over a certain dollar value, the shipping is free, and if your order is large(ish), they give you a coupla little 'freebies'. (well, they did for me...) |
