I cast down my pocket protector in protest and challenge thou to a standing 'O'vation-off at twenty paces...

Never mind, I can't play worth poop... well, maybe poop...

Let me try this: ELI the ICEman... There, now I feel vindicated!

I'm a long time reader of Popular Science! Remember OMNI magazine?

Talk about your legs falling asleep while you are reading on the john...

My bedroom used t'be STACKED w/Omni magazines!!
I think I pretty much had every issue.
ArtC.Clarke used t'write some great articles!

I seem t'remember having like the "pre-premiere" issue . . .

It had ANOTHER(different) name. I wanna say Discovery(?) Oddysey(??) . . I forget. I bought it at a Manhattan newsstand. Two weeks later, the premiere issue of "Omni" was out. Was the same mag, just a different title . . .

Didn't Omni originate from the UK??
Mebbe there was a US/UK differentiation?? . . .

Per Wikipedia:

"OMNI was launched by Kathy Keeton, long-time companion and later wife of Penthouse magazine publisher Bob Guccione. Before launch it was referred to as Nova, but the name was changed before the first issue to avoid a conflict with the PBS science show of the same name."
