Fresh from Ovation's custom shop...
We were trying to create a modern version of the late 70's legend ltd.
A Legend LX
Walnut peghead
Old style rosette
Dark nutmeg finish.
I hope Ovation monitors this list cause all I can say is WOW!!!!
A couple of issues:
Is it me or do the factory strings sound really good?
Are the cut aways deeper now than in the mid 80's. It was a noticable difference and a great improvement. Played "Brown Eyed Girl" on my old Custom Balladeer and the LX and it was night and day.
Gotta get used to the mid depth bowl. Can't blame lack of projection on the guitar any more so any dead strings are my fault. It was fine once I remembered I had to press those strings down.
For the curious... first song on this baby was Pete Townsend's Pinball Wizard (can't go wrong with Pete).
One question for the forum - why don't we post more tabs here? We've all made improvements to the tabs available at the well known sites.
I'll post pictures once I figure out how!!
