Hi everyone...It's been a while, but I pulled out my 1681-8 and my 1685-2 out for a restringing. I usually put some Luthier's choice conditioner on my rosewood and ebony boards..

What do you guys use to clean the resin-impregnated walnut boards of the Adamas?

I have darker areas of the board from my fingers moving over the frets. Of course, the areas are still very bright and clean where I don't fret too often.

My question is, what will remove these darker smudges to get the beautiful walnut to look like new again?..

Thanks as always for your help

Ernie

I would clean it with mild soap/water and fine steel wool. They dry it and treat it with mineral oil. Dave

Just a little steel wool and some fingerboard earl of your choice. Ear wax works well too.
