Otherwise, you might wait months and months for a good one to show up on ebay...only to have a last second sniper grab it from under your nose! |

| Of course you have to remember that Ovation really don't want to sell you one - hence the three month special order for the Folklore/Country Artist. The wait is more than worth it, but you really shouldn't have to. Fantastic guitars, fantastic necks and for a company the size of Ovation not to be able to offer a couple of finger-picking models as a stock line is pathetic.
That 1 7/8 neck is just beautiful.
Welcome to the club and I hope you find what you're looking for real soon (if it's any consolation I actually only waited 2 months for my Country Artist and that was non-standard). |

To watch the way that these guys process the production of the ENTIRE USA model-line SIMULTANEOUSLY is amazing!
A CustomOrder is pretty much just going through the system, and it's just a matter of all of your different components being done (to YOUR spec), and then final assembly/QC.
A lot less time than with a BoutiqueLuthier . . .
If I were to have something done "MyWay", I'd gladly wait the 3 mo.s . .

Looks like the s/n was gouged off at some point in it's life, but overall looks to be in good shape and the seller seems OK. |

You iz misappreciatin' me, I just don't think the CA/Folklore should be special order. Fantastic guitars which will never be in stock at a dealer cos he has to special order them. You can't sell 'em if noone can play 'em. I didn't mind waitin' for my custom - but nobody should have to wait for a standard one. They are fantastic guitars and they should be available.

BTW - I'm impressed with the flute thing. I've never been able to get a proper note out of one. Nor a trumpet or a clarinet and I would dearly love to be able to play either. But this brings us back to Jethro Tull, so now we disagree again. Excellent. Everything is right with the world agin. |

I used to play clarinet and was quite good, but stopped because I thought I looked like a sissy. My generation didn't remember Benny Goodman. About then, flute was OK because of Jethro Tull. I just can't figure this macho stuff out. |

| By coincidence my 9 year old just took his grade 4 recorder exam today - his teacher thinks he passed with no problems and this puts him at grade 5 which is as high as you can go on a recorder. The arrangement of tunes from America that he did as one of his 3 pieces was a real eye and ear boggler. He's got a really nice wooden recorder (reward for getting distinction at grade 3) and the sound is beautiful. It really is a much under appreciated instrument.
And his sister is terrific on the clarinet - it's my favourite instrument after the guitar and I have all of Tommy Dorsey's records (and Artie Shaw).
I can get a tune out of a guitar/bass/mandolin and I would figure anything with frets and strings, but that's it. Pathetic.
My dad was real good on the comb and paper.
And Wynonna may be an overweight emotional wreck with showbiz in her veins but she has the voice of an angel - listen to "Is it over yet?"
And I know Jethro Tull were talented and original and all that stuff - I've just always hated the sound they make. Sorry. :(

Location: Parrish, FL | Somethings is weird about the Folklore on E-bay. The seller listed and sold this guitar a few weeks ago. Both the buyer and seller have posted favorable feedback concerning this sale.
Now the SAME seller has relisted the SAME guitar.
Any thoughts??
