I'm no expert on O solid bodies but one I do like is that Glen Campbell Bluebird. I gave up on trying to get one or cobble one together.

I know this is quite a collectable and sought after O solid body among OFC'ers and there are probably others. I know O electrics tend to go pretty cheap on the 2nd hand market so I'm talkin'about rare and sought after models.

I wonder if somewhere down the road the factory may decide to do a limited reissue of a couple of these type of rare electrics in a similar fashion to the current limited Adamas series.

What do you think ?

Serious question - do the Mothership still repair the solid bodies if you send them back?

Customer Service is great at finding ways to take care of the aging solids. I have a set of Pick ups on my Deacon 12 that were wired by Hamer folks and are used on the Newport 12 string today. The parts bins for the parts used on the solids are just about empty. Also, you may not want to have a "new" set of "old" electronics - since the capabilities today are so far advanced.

Don't expect a reissue but do request a custom in the shape of a Deacon or Preacher! Why not? They are made one at a time by a single Luthier, correct? ask for some extraordinary body wood and an electronics package that blows you away!

If enough people ask what could they do?

Yes, the factory will work on old solid bodies ... I had my solid body Viper refinished at the factory last year and they did a great job.

I asked the question to the brass about reissue electrics at the OFC day at the factory last month ... and was met with ... errrr ... rolling of the eyes. So I doubt anyone should hold their breath.
