If you look at this auction specifically look at the top picture in the bottom group. You notice the two dimples just under the bridge. I believe these are stress points associated with the bracing under the top. Are these typical for Adamas guitars? Do your Adamas guitars have dimples that correlate to the top bracing patterns?

Thanks
R.

I have the ruby red 6-str SMT (OP-50/XLR) in addition to see a couple of others...

This one is older if it has the Optima.

No dimple/stress on the one I have or others I have seen. Could this be just reflection?

I value my textured top but the SMT is a great sounding instrument.

I've noticed these on my 6591 and they are only visible when you look at it just right with the right kind of reflection. When I queried the factory, they told me that this is not considered unusual.

This is just the first ebay picture I've seen that you could identify this effect. It is quite subtle. I agree it is a reflection, but to get that particualr look, kind of like dimples (but I'm not suggesting any deformation necessarily) it would almost have to be the effect I'm seeing on my guitar.

Sometimes under perfect or all wrong conditions I have beenable to distinguish the ends of the braces but necessarily any dimples. Comes and goes. These tops are very unforgiving as far as reflections and imperfections. Amazingly flat and shiny!
