Hey y'all. Forgive me if this is an oft-covered topic.

I have a 1769 CL that has developed a buzz when strummed. At first I thought it was my strap locks rattling, as I have had to "felt" them in the past. But no, it's coming from the guitar itself. I have yet to see if it does this while plugged in, but I'm sure it does.

I use Adamas 1818 or 1717 strings. The top & bridge were replaced 15 months ago - it's been perfect up to this point.

Any suggestions?

You might have a wire loose inside the guitar, or it might be the strings currently on the guitar. Also check that the strap buttons and tuners are on tight.

I suspect a wire is vibrating against the top or the bowl on the inside. Dave

Thanks for the info. The strap buttons and tuners are all snug. I'll try changing the strings and see what happens.

Thanks again - I love this board. ; )
