I'll tell you what's interesting about this guitar. It's obviously a Balladeer from either the early 80's or late 70's, but it's got the 2 piece neck and A bracing, which indicates early 80's, but it's got the volume only preamp which indicates late 70's. But the serial number dates the guitar to 1985.

All of which, to me, says that Ovation was using up parts in the early 80's and gradually made a shift over to newer parts, instead of a hard line change.

Not overly significant, but interesting when trying to date changes.

I'm in for just under $50.

I would like to use the neck for a "silent" guitar for the office and practice. If so I may have a case available. Will consider going higher on or about the last few hours.

OK case = $75
Preamp and Piezo = $75-$100
replacement neck = $75-$100
Tuners = $25-$35

Lyrachord salad bowl = $20

Reason to "go out in the garage for a while" = Priceless!

Quit rubbing it in, Nick, or at least let us know when you find another one of those cases for sale.
