| Sounds nice. The kids were asking after you Craig - I told 'em you'd been on the Spasce Shuttle. |

I dunno, I kinda like gold tuners/buttons . . .
I replaced the chrome set on my CBalladeer with all-gold's from Al. I really like the look, but it's probably not real practical on a "Hot&Sweaty" gig guitar . . .
They haven't shown any wear yet, . . maybe when they do, ebony might be an option . . . |

I got mine at StewMac. At $25 it was an easy decision to just check it out. These are for Schallers ... not sure what is on the 05 -- Schallers or Ping? But I did get the pearloids to fit OK on the Ping tuners on my 2000.

Location: Massachusetts | According to the factory they are Ping's on the 05. I asked about getting some perloid tuner knobs from the factory to retrofit. Don't quote me but I think they said $2.00 a tuner button.
Personally, I wouldn't like the black on black headstock. I am debating whether to put the perloid on. My fingers tarnish gold real easy though it does look great from a distance.
What to do. |

I was playing mine this evening; looking at it, I decided that the ebony would "work" on it, also. But I prefer the pearlescent for that "Custom Legend" vibe.

Here are picts of my two. I have gold tuners on my Custom elite with pearl knobs. Gold tuners on the Adamas 1681 too, but changed the gold knobs to ebony. I think that the ebony knobs match the black body much better. Don't know how the 05C would look.
