I recently purchased a Magnum I bass and put some new strings on it. My question is about the hex adjuster on back of the body. Should the tailpiece be level with the body? Mine appears slightly elevated but the action is perfect. Any tips would be appreciated.

It's supposed to be level, but as long as it's close it should be O.K.

I like the neck on the Magnums, but they're heavy, so I wind up playing my Riverhead Unicorn.

Bruce,

I was convinced you only collected - I didn't realize you actually played!!!

How many are you up to now?

I've slowed down some due to arthritis. About 190.

If you go to my gallery and look under 'Jam Amp Setup' you'll see the jam area I've got set up. It's an old photo so some stuff has been added.
