Location: East Tennessee | I'm thinking of adding and equalizer pedal since several of my acoustics don't have any EQ, just volume.
I've been looking at two in paticular;
The Boss GE-7 and MXR-108.
I know this is a dangerous queastion to ask you guys but, does anyone any comments on which would be a better choice?
Thanks in advance for the help. |

only diff. would be the pedal's switch. i liked, or should say preferred the boss style when i used to use pedals: it's easier to activate.
but there isn't anything wrong with the MXR.
what is the price diff? |

Sorry I haven't replied sooner. Worked today 8:00AM to 8:00PM.
The difference is about $20.
I'm looking on ebay and can probably get a store overstock in either for about the same $$$.
There's an MXR on ebay that I can probably arrange pick-up since it is only 1/2 hour drive. Save shipping.
The reason I asked is some pedels tend to generate noise,(DOD is One I've read reviews on.)
Everyone rates BOSS very high in quality.
Thanks for the feedback. :) |

Location: East Tennessee | I'm looking at both on ebay. I'm leaning towards the BOSS GE-7 9Volt battery or a power adapter the others I'm looking at require AC power.
More of the Boss available but there is an MXR in Knoxville which is only 1/2 hour drive to check out.
I also see a Boss EQ 20 which looks interesting but with all the other stuff thrown in the bid may go above what I can get it for new.
Here are the links to what I'm looking at.
Boss GE-7: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=7345306309&index...
MXR 108: http://cgi.ebay.com/MXR-TEN-BAND-EQUALIZER_W0QQitemZ7344211862QQcat...
BOSS EQ-20: http://cgi.ebay.com/BOSS-EQ-20-ADVANCED-EQUALIZER-OS-2-PEDAL-PSA-EX...
I am some times too careful about buying electronics that are almost as much as I can pick up at GC new.
By the way how are you doing??? |

Try to find a BBE stinger pedal. They are not made anymore but they are fabulous. If there are none on ebay, I might be persuaded to send you mine to try out.....and if you fall in love, we can cut a deal.
I never use it anymore because I have a rackmounted BBE 882i. |

Location: East Tennessee | I looked at a couple of Aphex 1401's and BBE stinger's on ebay and also read reviews on both. I might make a trip to the local GC and give the Aphex a try.
One of the guys that plays at church has a lot more experience with foot pedels I might see what he uses. |
