Location: Cincinnati, OH | I'm still gathering information on my '82 Custom Legend Model 1129(special order?) and was looking at Dave's website, www.ovationgallery.com , and he has a bowl label reference page that has a lot of good info. Does anyone have or have seen a label like mine:

Is this label a standard for '82? Is the handwritten model number an indication of all special orders? Is there anyone in the OFC that worked at the factory that would know how special orders were identified?

This label is from the late 70's/early 80's like on this Legend 1617 from 1980.
The 1129 Custom Legend is not a common model and is probably a custom order.
I've never seen one before and I can't find information in my catalogs and price lists.
It should be like the 1119 but with a shallow bowl???

To answer your question, yes, that is the standard label for '82. That label style was used from approximately 1978 to 1984/85. The second generation blue label (pictured at Dave's web site) started appearing around '85 or so and remained until about '89, when they switched to the parchment paper style.
BTW, I hope you're enjoying the book. ;)
