Location: Portland, OR | How many are involved with your church's music for Christmas? I just love the old carols and a lot of the new stuff too. Choir is always politically interesting, solos and so forth. And then the vocal/instrumental dichotomy. But, I guess, all in all, it's a lot of fun. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | I play every Sunday: usually as an object lesson for the sermon or as a special...one of my churches has no choir so I add a special every Sunday for them...this holiday season, I sat in with the choir from the other church and added 12 string guitar to a song; as well as three specials last week for our Christmas Song Service...I change guitars frequently (week to week) and plan to use the '08C quite a bit after the new year...I used the Strat for a song using the POD thru the PA for Easter specials earlier this year...I'd love to have enough for a praise group...but I am glad to be able to add what I can... |

Location: Utah | We're playing the Goo Goo Dolls "Better Days". We did it in both regular services today, and we'll do it on Christmas eve also.
The wife always signs us up for a couple hours of bell ringing, which we turn into a group Christmas Carol event. For accompaniment we break out the Applause plywood top, a flute, and various bells and stuff. |

Location: South of most, North of few | I play every other Sat night now at our service. I'll also be playing Christmas eve for two services. (although I play drums, not guitar :D ) We play a few traditional songs around this time of year, but most of the time we play much more progressive tunes. A lot of Hillsong stuff. |

Location: East Tennessee | Did both services this week and last week. Only have to do the late service on Christmas Eve,(although I'm on call for the early service).
Probably will fill in next Sunday since a lot of others will be out of town.
We've been doing a mixture of traditional and newer Christmas songs. I like having both the old and the new. |

Location: Round Rock, TX | Did 3 services yesterday on electric guitar, will do 3 on Christmas Eve splitting time between electric and keys, then do keys for 3 services on the 28th. I usually play electric one week in three, but the holidays have really lessened the availability of our musicians, so I get a lot of varied opportunities. I will, however, be taking Jan and Feb off so that I can concentrate more on the hospital/shut in work that I have neglected lately. |

| To me it's a nice and much needed holiday which comes at a cold and dark time of the year if one lives in the north.
I never go near shopping malls at this time of year..lol |

Man, I wish I live back in the Olden Daze, when people used to go Wassailing.
That was like Trick-or-Treating for adults.
You leave the pub and go door-to-door singing Christmas Carols...
And people give you booze to make you go away.
That must've been so Cool. |
