Location: Phoenix AZ | Does anyone know how many U681 were made? I know they said the plan was to build about 100 of them. Anyone know if that turned out to be anywhere close to accurate? Dave |

Location: Maryland, USA | I hear about these U681's and they give me some GAS.
But I now own 2 acoustics and 2 electrics...
I'll have to wait it out. |

You don't have anywhere near enough. At a minimum, you should own one solid spruce top, one solid cedar top, a nylon string classic or similar, a collectors, a deep, mid and shallow bowl, one for each significant event (graduation, wedding, birth of child, etc.), solidbody and semihollowbody electric and if that doesn't do it, one of each color that you like. That's just for Ovations. You already have a Martin.
Then put up a few more wall hangers and buy some more guitars to put in the hangers. Get a move on! |

Maybe Mr. Al could find out for us (cause I am also curious  ) |

Reminds me of my highschool days. My mom worked and my job EVERY figgin day after school was to vacuum the house (my mom was a clean freak). So I would just get the vacuum out and leave it in the living room, never even turnign it on. Then when mom came home she would yell at me for not putting it away. "Ah, sorry mom". |

Location: boulder | A small fleet of U81 T's, seems to have harbored over at woodwind and brasswind/music123 (same chain) website. they had 5, now 4.
I also would be curious whether only 100 will be built. It is hard to tell with no seperate serial #'s.
I REALLY HOPE THE OFC HAS ITS OWN SERIAL #. I do not care which one I would get, (just as long as I am lucky enough to get one) but I think a limited edition run should be serialized as such. I know it is too late for the anniversary models, and I know no one actually asked me, but there it is anyways. every now and then being obvious (like in marking a limited run with their own s/n) is OK in my book. ok, I will stop here before factory adds some special engravings to my guitar. peace, mike |
