Location: closely held secret | I've heard from him recently - he's doing well, just really bored with the treatment routine. And he has a Yamaha AGStomp to play with, and he's trying to figure out how to use his Yahama home recording system he picked up.
Maybe if we all say something derogatory about him, he'll respond. :D
Hey Schroeder! Your socks don't match! |

We have stayed in touch pretty consistantly. Currently, he is feeling like death warmed over and that might be an understatement. He can't speak, eat or even swallow. He has to sleep much of the time, as he is exhuasted. He is very near the end of the chemo treatments and has just a few more radio-therapy sessions, and looking very forward to it being all over.
Through it all, he has managed to keep his sense of humour and pleasant disposition.
...Well, his sense of humour anyway. |

Keep the faith.
My father-in-law recently finished a course of chemo for lymphonic leukemia and he felt like crap. But now all the tests are looking great and he's regaining strength daily.
You're in my prayers.

Gruesome. Absolutely gruesome. I can't even imagine how much it must hurt....
Hard to believe the cure isn't worse than the disease. |

| Thank you for all the kind thoughts.
It is, as Bongo Boy says, quite horrible now. I did really good for the first 4 weeks, but the last2 are absolute killers. Still - only 2 more radiotherapy sessions Monday and Tuesday, and 1 chemo session, also on Tuesday and the treatment is over. Then the long haul back.
I'm currently on eight Co-codamol tablets and 12 phials of morphine a day - I'm trying to figure out how much a habit like this is going to cost me when they stop supplying them for free......
At least it should be good for singing the blues.... |
