Location: San Bernardino, California | Woody, I've got your pre-amp done.
I need an address to send it to.
Some notes:
1) looks like both pickups might have been rewound at some point in time.
2) there are a couple of small extra parts I put on the back of the circuit board to compensate some.
3) the nuts and washers for the pots aren't gold (but they'll be hidden by the knobs.)
4) when I received the pre-amp the pickguard was broken, was it this way originally? |

4)Yes, it was a template pickguard only.
Heart-felt thanks to BruDev and Chatman for their efforts!
If I remember you needed to answer about tone and texture of a Viper III pick guard?

Location: San Bernardino, California | In regards to 3) they're a different thread size, so the original ones had to be replaced.
Chatman appeared to have fixed the original problem when I received it, but during the interrim the tone control had failed (sometimes they fail real quick). |

The Greyburst only uses two switches instead of three. |

Location: Upper Left USA | Are you looking for direct replacements or could I interest you in some ebonized Walnut? I have two Viper "blanks" in front of me right now. The Walnut can get pretty dark and still show grain. The Sunburst would look nice with a reddish brown on the Walnut. Cherry or Koa for contrast?
You've also got that Tan Breadwinner that would look luscious with the right burl.
I am trying to locate someone that can make a silver or gold metallic onlay of the letters, similar to the logos.
Now that Sam has shown me which direction they go an Ovation Logo would look sharp.
If you are brave we could mount the pups under the P/G like a Variax.
Decisions, decisions. |

If I remember right both guitar have the pickup routs copper shielded, so I prefer to have the pickups mounted to the pickguard.
The tan Breadwinner is in good shape so I intend to keep it as close to original as possible.
BTW the Greyburst started life as a regular Viper. When I got it someone had butchered the pickguard and done some extra routing under the pickguard. It currently has a 'bathtub' route. |

Location: Las Cruces, NM | Is it any better than the original, I vaguely remember us discussing the two bridges some time ago, but I can't remember if anyone had one of each for comparison. Which is better?? |
