i recently bought an ovation 8210 mid-deep bowl molded case for my ovation celebaty cc026 accustic electric guitar, and when i got the case the guitar did not fix even though it was ovations specifided case. so i am having to return the case and was wondering if anyone knew which ovation case or any case for that matter would my guitar fit into. any help would be great.

The 8210 is the correct case for the CC026. I have a CC01 with the same case. It's a little snug at first (the lining has to conform to the guitar a little), but it should fit.

Maybe they sent you a 8217 super-shallow case by mistake?

What's the difference between the Deluxe Molded Case and the Molded case?

I feel I'm setting myself up on this one...

One's plusher, slightly better put together, nicer workmanship. Looks nicer.

humm thanks for the help but i have about 2-3 extra inches on the case and the warrently slip that i got it (from musiciansfreind.com) states 8210, and the case looks like the 8210. and if the lining has to be broken in what is the best way to do that?
thanks again

Send it back. I've gotten the wrong case from MF before. P.S. make them pay the shipping.

Absolutely don't force it. If it needs to be broken in a bit, it should fit but be a little tight or snug; but if it doesn't fit or the case won't close that's different. I agree, send it back.

ABSOLUTELY DO NOT FORCE IT......my 1617 Legend can show you the results of that.....(after I got it, I tried to put it in a case that an eBay vendor said was "mid-deep bowl". It wasn't).

Send it back and get another case.

Of course, if it doesn't fit don't use it. But your case should be snug.
