I have an Ovation solid body (Deacon). I'm looking to get an Ovation acoustic in the coming year. Any suggestions on a good choice of similar value? I'm not a collector or a professional, but I want a good quality (USA made) replacement for the solid body. I like the feel and action of the Deacon, so something with a cutaway and similar neck would be nice. I would rarely plug in, but would like an onboard tuner to make non standard tuning easier. It will be my only guitar, so I want to make it a good one.

You have a lot of very nice guitars on your website. In this economy, do you think I'd do better if I traded for an acoustic that fits the bill or should I sell then shop?

I'll start bugging him tomorrow...let him enjoy his Christmas. From the needs I described, what do you think would be some good models to keep an eye out for?

FYI I was able to upload some pics to the newer OFC Gallery (Deacon SF) Taken 12/27/08. I could never get photos to upload on the other gallery (Idiot that I am)
