Location: Santa Clara, California | Now I have been a musician since grade school when I first learn to play the trumpet and scince then i have played both jazz and symphonic gigs but never had the time to explore the guitar. Now in my early 40's I have more time to spend on the guitar. I have just brought a new cc057 Celebrity and I love it greatly. Though I have some experience on the guitar but I don't consider myself much better than an advanced beginner. I am also a big fan of Al Di Meola and I am amazed to learn he plays an Ovation. Well being that I'm new to the Ovation family and sill somewhat new to the guitar I will appreciate any suggestions I can get.
Later! |

Words of caution... Frequenting this site tends to produce GAS!
I've had my 3 O's for the last 15 years without a thought of getting another. Since I joined in March of this year, I've picked up a Custom Balladeer and a Legend. It's a GOOD feeling!!! |

Location: GATLINBURG TENNESSEE :) | Welcome to the club GMAN. I'm a newbee also, but I've had Ovations for over 25 years. I can tell you that I've played everything from old Yamahas and Fenders to Gibsons, Martins, and everything in between, and I personally don't believe you could ever find a better deal than an Ovation.
Congrats on your purchase. It probably won't be your last (: |

You picked on hellluva nice place to find out how to use your musical experience to get some music out of your guitar. Wail on that Celebrity and don't become an intolerant ass until you have mastered it. |
