If I can get this I won't be getting the accoustic guitar for a while.

Location: Upper Left USA | You can see the holes where the old set were. Originals were the black plastic (can I use that word).
I bet there's a beautiful mahogany body under all that white polane! And a sweet neck as well! |

Location: South Jersey | This might be a really good time to sell one if you have one you don't play. That one was at about 450 with 6 hours left. |

| The "Deacon-Limited" sold for $976.67-it's only a matter of 40 minutes now.
I'm getting really anxious...but I am patient. :D |

Location: SoCal | Katana, I bought the other Limited.
I asked to talk to you because I wanted to buy yours because I did not need your neck.
The seller of the other limited confirmed that their neck is straight.
I would be glad to work something out with you if you want the neck off of the one I just bought. |

| (edit) Enough with the sob story already-I have good news.
I took the neck off just to see what was in the pocket. There looks to be a fragment of newsprint (possibly from a hiking map?) stuck in there, along with a barely legible inkstamp under the newsprint.
Anyway, the neck isn't warped. What's actually wrong is that the nut was cut badly-there's a slant to the base of the nut, causing the appearance of warpage. Also, the string spacing's off for the same reason-the spacing from slot to slot isn't equal. Finally, some of the frets are lifting out of the board, which wasn't obvious without an extremely close examination.
I'm emailing the Mothership tonight and inquiring about a re-finish, re-nut, and re-fret and the costs that come with them. I'll keep you all posted. |

I had the guitar at the tech's tonight, and while the warp is irreparable, the intonation issue was not caused by the warp. The neck isn't sitting quite straight in the pocket, causing a slight intonation problem... Katana, Your Breadwinner Limited is a Soap Opera...
I caught your Premier Episode on August 17th.
The episodes on the OFC have been great.
My heart went out to the writer and producer of the episode that aired on the eBay Network.
Before you rewrote your (October 19, 2005 05:57 PM) post, it said you were broke and you needed the money.
Within minutes, the script was rewritten!
The leading man took the guitar apart and re-diagnosed the patient's ailments!
The irreparable warped neck is no longer warped!
The destitute leading man can now handle a re-finish, re-nut, and re-fret with the Mothership!
I love happy endings... ;) |

| Ain't it though... :D
And yes, I do have a tendency to change my mind. I just wanted to make sure that everything I had said about the guitar before was absolutely correct-hence the neck removal.
Still can't afford the work-I just want to know how much it'll cost. |

| I just got an email back from the factory-they can refret/re-nut the guitar, but the Barnwood/Barnboard finish can't be replicated.
I'll mull on this for a bit-if I can get this thing playable again, the finish might not matter so much. |
