I'm a paper airplane nut. Fascinated by em. I love making em. Always have- to the dismay of my teachers since the 4th grade. I make them during business conferences, slow meetings and plenty of other "inappropriate" times
Oddly, no matter how inappropriate, folks always want to play with them and want know how they are made...
So for those of you, with ADAA, children, or who are frustrated aerospace engineers...have at it:
Best Paper Airplane
Very Cool Plane
I've made both of these and they work really well...the Paperang is amazing.... |

Location: 6 String Ranch | I once got in trouble at school for sailing these out the third floor window. When the teacher arrived I was informed, after I had to go pick them all up, that they were glad I was sticking with the family business but that wasn't the time or place for it.
I guess that ended my aerospace career. |

Location: NJ | I got busted in Drafting class for making a miniature of the Wright Bros. "Flyer" - out of paper clips and rolling papers . . .
When the the teacher confiscated it, he asked me what the "paper" was. I told him it was "tissue".
He then asked what kind of idiot I "took him for".
My response was "I don't know . . how many different kinds ARE there??" . . .
Thus began my "transfer" from Drafting to the Commercial Art program in High School . . . |

I can remember walking into Guitar & Drum Center, seeing the Balladeer and the rest is history. |

When you grow up (a little), you graduate from those folded paper POS's to these.
Cool kits
I built and flew the Special Performers Kit a few years ago and decided that it was too serious of a hobby for me.
I'm almost 34 and I might be ready to try it again soon. |

You can't while away the hours during an interminable Power Point Presentation with those...ya need to just pull a sheet off the writing pad, fold it up and toss.
(They are cool kits tho) |

I think that I know why the teacher caught you.
You must have been practicing your signature on each airplane knowing that one day you would be signing labels for guitars :D   |
