It'll probably go to the mothership for some care and feeding, but I'll decide that once I get it in my hands and check it out in person. I'll post pics and commentary when it arrives. |

Location: SoCal | Bob, you're going to be real happy with that guitar. I know you've been thinking about a shiny bowl for a while. I think that this is a good choice.
If it does need anything, send it to the mothership, and let them go thru the whole thing. Take a look at Witko's at his http://www.ovationgallery.com and you'll see just how beautiful these can look.
And the sound is to die for. I played the recreation at the OFC gathering (you probably did as well) and they are great. |

Yours seems nicer then either of mine, and I love both of mine. The shiny bowls just sustain forever. Plus as I go on and on about, there just aren't a whole lot of them left. nice snag.. :cool: |

I'm willing to bet it requires the same type of karma that's needed for driving my VW Thing around town. :cool:

Location: North Texas | The fez reference is funny. Good one! I bought the car in Sun Valley, Ca. back in '72 because it looked like it something right out of a Zap comic. We always reefered to it as the Klown Kar, still do. The ragtops are kinda rare, and always generate attention, and lots of laughs. |

They have already sold 4 in Boise. Pretty good for a town that didn't have a Porsche dealership until last spring. |

Location: Tennessee | Late 2002. Found a really nice one. Silver on black. Lease return with 30K on the clock and a warranty to 100K. Has all the goodies ... full leather, sport seats with embossed crest, aluminum-look seat backs, dash and console, suede headliner, 18" turbo wheels, bi-xenon, Bose system, etc. Wow ... what an incredible exhaust tone! I really like the looks of the 997 better, but I figured it was prudent to let someone else take the initial $40K hit that happens in the first 3 years.
I was seriously looking at the Cayman since the initial announcement, but in the end there's just not quite enough driving room in the Boxster for me, even the new 987, so the Cayman would have the same issue for me. I sorta subscribe to the Jim Clark school of driving position. Besides, having just endured 10 years of driving a NARP, I didn't think I could deal with 10 years of "a Porsche in panties" comments from those who don't know better. |
