I just ran across this site. Pretty cheap strings. Has anyone used them? I thought I had heard from this, or another forum that they were not bad. But of course, what does "not bad" sound like???

I have used them....they are ;) "not bad"

Depends on what type of sound you like. I like the Adamas and Elixer strings better but for the price, they are "not bad".

You get what you pay for. I think that they are cheap, lousy strings that simply sound bad, even when new. Yeah, they're about $3 a set, but that's all they are worth.

I've tried them a few times. I had a lot of problems with their strings. I strung my Custom Legend with webstrings, went to bed, woke up the next moring and found the G string had snapped overnight! Yes they are honest and sent me another set, but they aren't worth the effort IMHO.

AFG,

I have used them for 12-string sets, and found them to sound good (the PB's). I also tried the Bluegrass sets for 6-string. I also liked the sound of these. They are not in the same league as a D'Addario EXP or Elixir Nanoweb set, but the price is attractive.

Maybe a thought would be to order them and spend just enought to take advantage of the free shipping. Also, it is nice to have a few sets around to hand out to friends that need a set of strings in a pinch! It is lot easier to give these away, then a $10.00 to $15.00 set of strings!

How are things "up" on Alaska?
