Location: East Wenatchee, WA | This may sound a bit odd, but when perusing a variety of back posts, I find that a large number of my Pacific NW Ovation Brethren are involved in Worship in their church's.
I am kind of thinking....perhaps a PNW Ovation Worship Fest of sorts? Maybe pick a home church that would like something special some Sunday, everyone meet for a Jam on Saturday and play, pray and practice.
Or...if you just want to go for it on Neutral ground, find a place where we can all meet on a Friday night and/or Saturday and get together. I have 16 channels of Mackie and some awesome old Electro Voice PA speakers that I would haul to such an event.
What do you all think about such an idea. Can't imagine what a santuary FULL of O's and A's would sound like. Might like to plug my Tascam 2488 and just let it run (I am new to digital recording, so no promises there).

Location: Boise, Idaho | I noticed the same thing, although I am not one that plays the guitar at church. My wife noticed that one of the guys playing guitar at church today was playing an Ovation (a Legend, I think) and I noticed that another guy was playing one also.
I'm still up for a NW OFC get together. Finally got the plumbing working at the cabin, so it's ready for next summer. I'll wave at you as I go past Hermiston, sort of, on the way to Portland Wednesday. |

Location: East Wenatchee, WA | Don't waive Mark, give me a call and I'll buy you a cup if you have a few minutes. Other than a Doctor's appointment at 2:00pm (should only be an hour), I will be available most of the day.
Shoot me a PM if interested and I'll give you my cell number. I have an office right in town (although it is about 10-12 minutes from the freeway). |

Location: Boise, Idaho | My wife is too antsy to get there, so we'll probably just stop for gas. She always wants me to leave earlier than I can get away. I'm always in more of a hurry to get back. We used to stop in Hermiston when my folks lived in Ellensburg. |

If given enough lead time I coiuld arrange a Sunday service in our Cafe and possibly the main sanctuary. There are 3 couches and an extra bed at my house.
And plumbing! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Hey, I got the plumbing fixed for now. Next summer, when I have a few helpers, we'll see how those Ovations dig. We already know they make great canoe paddles. |

Oh well, only a day and a half to go for a long weekend with guitars, kids, grandkids and lotsa food. I guess I will get over it.
If you do stop for gas, exit 182 is the cheapest, but I will warn you...at $2.47 Hermiston is about the most expensive fuel out there.
Woody...kind of thought you might be up for something like that. Not sure if the idea will go anywhere, but let's keep talking about it from time to time and see what happens. |

Gas here is running about $2.25. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | No offense to either of you, but I was trying to link up with Waskel so I could avoid the annual take the women to the mall and wait for 8 hours or sit at home with my dad and watch football. Besides that, Waskel really needs to play a 1537 and Jeff already has one. Now I'll just have to bring the Balladeer, which is something I am not too concerned about travelling with, and spend the day in the nice golf store in Beaverton and the Guitar Center near Washington Square. If I come home with a new guitar or amp it will be their fault.
Know of a better guitar store in west Portland? |

I'm very much aware of StephenT's collection. His wife must be very understanding. |

I guess what we need is a vision and a date!

Location: Boise, Idaho | Wow! This sounds intimidating to a guy who has never played in front of more than 3 people. That doesn't include a couple of weddings and other family events that were 25 years ago.
Jeff, PM me your phone number and I'll try to call you when we get close. We'll be stopping for gas somewhere around there, but I don't know the time. I have a funeral to go to today before we leave. Next door neighbor just died this weekend and I didn't even know it till I saw the obit last night. |
