Location: Phoenix AZ | OK, The holiday shopping is about to get in full swing. Actually Home Depot has had their pre-lite fake trees on display since Labor Day weekend (but that's how things are in a state with no winter). Anyway - let's start our OVATION WISH LIST for Santa.
Please list ONE guitar that Ovation does not make, nor has ever made, that you would like to see under your tree this year. ONE request per post, please (let's not be greedy). I'll start:
Textured Top ADAMAS Tenor Ukulele, Black w/ bass side epaulet only, Optima pre-amp

Tripleneck 12/6/Uke Elite, please. Black Cherryburst, each cutaway. 5-way switch (12/12+6/6/6+Uke/Uke). Standard Dotted Fret inlays, LED lit in red (independant on/off for each neck), custom (lit again) inlay of JB at 12th fret of each neck, all black hardware. Including case.
Oh, and a back brace for myself, and another car that will fit the case in ;)
Sounds a perfectly reasonable request to me...

I like the natural top properly aged to the "honey" color that mine has. Oh...upgraded with the OP50 maybe. Don't know much about Ovations other than I love my 1537 but have been dissappointed when looking at other Ovations and Adamas. |

But then I decided I'd like to see them do an ES 335 knockoff again. But then I decided to just add some Hamers to the current list. |

There is a passle of koa Celebritys at Guitar Center and the collecters will need to stand out from them. |

I've given up caring about the hole. Even tho it's nothing new (Tacoma, McPherson...) it is different for an O. If they go with that one I hope they come up with some way to dress it up. Abalone probably wouldn't be enough. Maybe some wood inlay around it + abalone?
My wish is that they keep it a 12 fret slothead.
Should we be on a different thread for this rant? Naw... it's a Christmas WISH list! Everyone can WISH we would discuss it somewhere else! |

But alas I have to have the funds to buy..
I guess that why we are calling this a WISH list. |

PM your wife's email address so I can make her an offer on that 1537 you just got. Or haven't you told her about that yet?
Somebody just did me a favor and outbid me on a 1624, or I would have had some 'splainin' to do. |
