I bought this on ebay for the tuners to be used on a couple of 7-string projects. I hope the seller will let me know what happened. There are no major dings on the headstock so you might very well be right on the strings.

Common problem with the Pacemakers and GC's. Not a lot of wood right at that point considering the stress being applied. I have a 1115 that's been repaired at that point. Plays just fine. If that was the only problem with that guitar, it's a shame the whole thing was discarded. The factory is well aquainted with that break and they do a near-perfect job of making it disappear. John <>{
