Location: Parrish, FL | A few weeks ago there was a pristine looking 95 Collectors that ended below reserve at over $900. It was relisted on the 24th with no reserve, ending tonight. It had run up to over $800 this afternoon. I was tracking it out of curiosity and checked it 20 min before it ended. All the bids had been cancelled and a new bid at $375 from a 0 feedback bidder remained.
I waited until about 2 minutes before the end and tried to snipe on in. My bid took but was immediately cancelled and I was blocked from bidding again.
Strange. Hope the seller got what he needed. It was a very nice piece. |

Location: Cicero, NY | Had a buddy who got so drunk at a party (his own) one time he couldn't decide if he hadda go to the john to take a leak or grab another beer first so he wanders up the fridge and proceeds to...well, let's just say his wife made him buy a new fridge after that one. Never saw a party end so quickly.
Yep...good times... |

Location: Boise, Idaho | One of my summer jobs while in law school was to work for a small town prosecutor. I was supposed to try a case where they arrested a young man for drunk driving. Problem for me was no one saw him driving because he was stopped in the middle of an intersection. They also didn't have a breathalizer and he was smart enough to lock himself in the police station bathroom and drain himself dry so they couldn't get a urinalysis.
The cop thought he had to be drunk to stop in the intersection, but the mayor's daughter showed up at trial to testify that she was giving him a BJ and he decided it wasn't safe to drive any more. The cop was mad at me for accepting a plea for stopping in the intersection. |
