Merry Christmas! |

It must be an Oregon thing with this giving wives huh Waskal.
Looks like both of our Churches will be Adamasally Blessed this Christmas season. Hope my pastor doesn't try and wrestle me for it. Oh wait...he doesn't like round backs....mine, mine all mine. |

I'm really pumped about this one. I've set my sights on a 1581, and ever since that last one on ebay slipped through my reluctant fingers I was afraid I would have to wait until a reissue was within my grasp.
I was worried about the sellers zero feedback, but I discovered he's a very reputable TV producer and a very nice guy. Plays mostly fingerstyle and has had the guitar since '95. Spoke to him for a bit and worked out a deal.
Many thanks to Mike (fugot) for giving me his blessing to steal this one from him! :D :D :D
My wife has indeed brightened an otherwise cloudy Christmas this year! |

A nurse at my hospital told me that she is going to Dallas this week. I asked her to bring me back a cheerleader. If only I had the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader CalendAR. I could have pointed to one and said"Gee That one's PRETTY!" .
I can't wait till she gets BACK! |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Wow! We're really close to Oregon, but this thing with the wives doesn't seem to have crossed the state line. I bought my wife an exercise machine for Christmas, just so she wouldn't do the same for me. That may explain her lack of enthusiasm. I still expect I'll get an elliptical trainer, since she keeps telling me I'm out of shape. It will be really difficult for me to look thankful. If she said OK to an Adamas, I might actually have to stop buying guitars for a year or so. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | Waskel, I've figured out that I'm not too good at this buying gifts for the wife business. I'm not even good at begging. I will be going to Portland a bunch this next year and will try to stop at least once and see Jeff and you and your Adamases. You could bring yours up to the Porsche Parade in August and see how you and it look in a blue Porsche. |

Location: closely held secret | Oh, thanks for reminding me, Mike. I need to get some pictures of it. The 1624 is alive and well and hanging in my music room. The MS did a wonderful job of repairing the delamination and reattaching the neck. The top has a few finish cracks, but it's still beautiful to look at, and the tone is great. I didn't have them replace the bridge, which is not original, so I'm going to put a K&K classic pickup system in it and run it to the original preamp. |

If it sounds anything like my 1581 reissue, YOU WILL BE BLOWN AWAY!
Is she gonna make you keep it in the case until Christmas day    |

Location: closely held secret | Jeff, I'm not too worried about the cold. If it was a wood-topped guitar, yeah, but not these things. They'll handle that fine. I worry more about the loading gorillas... |

Great score - use it for the good race!
Boy, Oh Boy, Oh Boy! WE have great wives. Mine got me this one for my Christmas present.
1758
She only let me check it out to make sure it was OK. Has a little bridge pull going on like Eriewan's, but my goodness, it sounds like an orchestra when you play it ... I love my wife, I LOVE my wife, I love MY wife, I love my WIFE! |
